"With the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act, the federal government committed investments, incentives, loans and grants for clean energy, transportation and building electrification to public utilities and the municipalities that own them. Buffaloe said the goal of the Inflation Reduction Act was new clean energy jobs, lower pollution emissions across the country and lower costs for utility customers. Buffaloe said a new guidebook from a group called Climate Cabinet helped state and local policymakers across the country understand how to qualify and apply for federal help under the Act."
